Remembering Roxy …
One of our favorite “bikers” around town was Roxy, a big ‘ol fluffy ball of love who was a regular for years at Quaker Steak & Lube’s Bike Nites. You remember her: Black and white fur, sweet disposition, pair of goggles, rode in a trailer hooked to her owner’s bike, barking in the wind. Roxy passed away last month at age 13. We wish to send her owners our condolences as well as a big thank you for the many smiles Roxy brought to all of us.

Motorcycling Event List You Can Use  …

NEXT Saturday, April 25 – Walk A Mile in Her Shoes/
Women Motorcyclist Gathering.
The idea is to raise awareness about sexual assaults by having men walk a mile in, you guessed it, women’s shoes! Women motorcycle riders (all women, actually!) are invited to be a part of this fun-yet-serious gathering by lining up on Sandusky Street in Downtown Delaware! Starts at Noon! The event is being presented by the Delaware County Sexual Assault Response Team And Delaware County Coalition of Victim Services. Details at www.walkamileinhershoes.org.

NEXT Saturday,  April 25 - Poker Run for Southwest Licking Schools.
Registration at Watkins Middle School, 8808 Watkins Rd. SW, Pataskala. $20. First bike out 10 a.m., last bike out noon, last bike in 4 p.m., proceeds benefit Stand Up Committee.

Saturday, May 2 – ABATE of OHIO Ride and Rally!
Registration from 9 to 11 a.m. at A.D. Farrow Co. NorthStar, then group ride to the Ohio Statehouse! From 1 to 4 p.m., go to A.D. Farrow Co. in Downtown Columbus for music, food and festivities!

Sunday, May 3 – Leave A Mark Biker Blessing!
Our friends at Leave A Mark Church are holding a Biker Blessing, and YOU are invited! Leave A Mark will have two rides to the 1 p.m. event. FREE lunch included! One ride will start from A.D. Farrow Co. Shop at NorthStar at 11:30 a.m. This group will first go to A.D. Farrow Co. in Downtown Columbus, and meet riders there. The combined groups will then leave Downtown at Noon to head to the Leave A Mark event. Or feel free to go directly to the Leave A Mark property at 4818 Parsons Ave., (corner of Parsons and Rathmell Roads). Thanks for supporting this great group and event!

Saturday, May 9 – Horsepower For Horses!
Registration from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at A.D. Farrow Co. inDowntown Columbus, then ride to Last Chance Corral Horse Protection and Rescue in Athens to visit rescued horses! No set fee to take part, but donations greatly NEEDED and APPRECIATED! This is a GREAT event for kids – cars welcome, too! Party follows at Whiskey Dick’s! We’ll once again set up a long, loud row of motorcycles along the Race For the Cure Breast Cancer Awareness Walk/Run Course in Downtown Columbus! Meet at A.D. Farrow Co. in Downtown Columbus at 7:30 a.m. to ride to the line-up spot, or meet there by 8 a.m. (High Street at Chestnut Street, same place as last year, directly in front of Nationwide Insurance Corporate Headquarters).

Saturday, June 6 – 4th Annual Cruising For Canines Poker Run!
Benefits Canine Companions For Independence. Sponsored by Chapter OH-U2 of the Gold Wing Road Rider’s Association and A.D. Farrow Co. Registration, 8:30 to 10 a.m., A.D. Farrow Co. Shop at NorthStar.
