October 2005. 30-plus months ago. The last time Central Ohioans in any great number had the chance to rally in support for OUR military men and women. Yep, it was back when Lima Company came home. www.makethemilesmatter.org – Fundraising For Flying Horse Farms …
You are going to ride anyway this spring, summer and fall, so why not www.makethemilesmatter.com? In fact, if you drive, ride a bicycle, run or walk, you can do the same to support of Flying Horse Farms, a camp for terminally & critically ill children being built in Mt. Gilead. (www.flyinghorsefarms.org) THIS JUST IN: Darris Blackford from the A.D. Farrow Co. Marketing Team will run 2,000 miles (yes, run, on foot) between May 1 and October 15, 2008. If he does not reach the goal, Darris will cancel any pledges made to his effort and pay the amount to the charity out of his own pocket (provided he doesn’t become injured). 2,000 miles is more than 10 miles of running a day, every day. Isn’t it worth making a pledge just to see if he can do it? Send him your pledges at darrisblackford@adfarrow.com
