Big News re: Flying Horse Farms … (a note from Dealer Principal Bob Althoff)
Hello! Together we have done some great things over the last five years in terms of riding, having fun and leaving a mark. Today I am writing to ask for your help in MAKING THE MILES MATTER.
Specifically, I want to recruit you into a motorcycle gang. Here’s your chance to fly your colors. Join riders from all over Ohio in our very own gang – The Hole In The Ground Gang – in support of Flying Horse Farms, Ohio’s own Hole In The Wall Camp for terminally & critically ill children (www.flyinghorsefarms.org) Together we can make a difference in the lives of kids from Ohio’s seven Children’s Hospitals who will be served by this Mt. Gilead, Ohio camp.
We think it would be pretty cool if we could build the kids a swimming pool (hence the “Hole In The Ground Gang!”). Here is how we think we can do it. LET’S RIDE. Let’s ride and have fun. Let’s ride and “Make The Miles Matter.” Starting now and ending on October 15, 2008, you can solicit your friends, family members, neighbors, co-workers and anyone else you can think of to pledge money toward every mile you ride over the next three-and-a-half months. A penny, a nickel, a dime or more per mile, this can add up to real money for this project!
Details, visit www.makethemilesmatter.com
Meanwhile, stay tuned, this is going to be FUN!
Speaking Of Flying Horse Farms - A Challenge Has Been Tossed Out …
Bill Snodgrass and Ken Valverde, representing the Red Knights (firefighters) and Blue Knights (police), are planning a charity run from Canada to Mexico to raise funds for Flying Horse Farms on June 7 & 8. They’re going to ride 1,620 miles in 36 hours. While you contemplate your own fundraising efforts for Flying Horse Farms (see www.makethemilesmatter.com), how about supporting them with a pledge donation per mile or a single contribution? Make checks payable to Flying Horse Farms and send them to A.D. Farrow Co., 491 W. Broad St., Columbus, 43215. Questions? darrisblackford@adfarrow.com

This girl is tough, and spends more time on wheels than Evel ever did. She suffers from Brittle Bone Disease, and on June 14 you will get the chance to take part in a special ride to raise funds for research into finding a cure. Oh yeah, we’ll also have plates of BBQ and other food for lunch! Did you know Nationwide Children’s Hospital and OSU Medical Center are leading research centers for Brittle Bone Disease? Now you do.
