Two Great Rides April 26!

Combat Veteran’s Charity Ride, April 26 – supports the Fisher House, which provides free or low cost lodging to veterans and military families receiving treatment at military medical centers. Stops at A.D. Farrow Co. Shop at NorthStar and AMA Hall of Fame Museum. Registration is 9 to 11 a.m. at Quaker Steak & Lube, ride also finishes at The ‘Lube with an auction and good times! Horsepower For Horses Charity Ride, 9 a.m., A.D. Farrow Co, Downtown Columbus, 491 W. Broad St. This ride is held to raise money to prevent the slaughter of newborn horses that are bred so their mothers can be wet nurses for thoroughbreds.  This is a great family event, so even if you drive your car, it is worth going!  More information can be found at www.horsepowerforhorses.com, including a pre-registration form.

Group Ride For Beginners – April 27! 
Leading the way to Young’s Dairy in Yellow Springs will be Teresa Cote, head of our Ladies of Harley group at A.D. Farrow Co., who will be joined by several H.O.G. road captains and experienced riders.  Meet at 10 a.m., leave at 10:30 a.m., A.D. Farrow Co, Downtown Columbus, 491 W. Broad St. The ride is free, but bring funds for lunch at Young’s Dairy - mmmm, ice cream ….

Bike Nights Are Rolling …
Two of these gatherings started this month: Quaker Steak & Lube at Polaris (you know where it is!) on Wednesdays, and Bill’s Other Place, 733 Harrisburg Pike, on Mondays (where they hold a weekly King of the Pike contest!). More will be starting up shortly. Get out and show off – unless you like spending quality time alone with your bike in your garage.

Viva La Big Hearts & Horsepower …
We recently told you about a camp being started in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, for very sick kids. Flying Horse Camp will open in 2009. We also mentioned wanting to help build a swimming pool, and asked for your help to git ‘er done. Well a pair of riders have come forward in a big way. Bill Snodgrass and Ken Valverde, representing the Red Knights (firefighters) and Blue Knights (police), will make a charity run from Canada to Mexico to raise funds for the camp on June 7 & 8. They’re going to ride 1,620 miles in 36 hours. How about supporting them with a pledge donation per mile or a single contribution? Make checks payable to Flying Horse Farms and send them to A.D. Early Notice – 2nd Annual Ride For Courtney, Sunday, June 1! 
Last year hundreds of you turned out for this ride to support a very special girl, Courtney Vargo, daughter of our Downtown Sales Manager John. If you recall, this angel suffered a brain aneurism and was in a coma. She continues to recover, but these things take time, and are costly. This ride starts at our Downtown Columbus Dealership and makes several stops, finishing in Pickerington. Click here for more details, and PLEASE plan on taking part!

Darris Is Calling You Out – Hold June 14 On Your Calendar  
Over the last few years, A.D. Farrow Co., through Darris and the rest of the marketing team, has done a lot to support YOUR events, rides, activities,fundraisers,gatherings,bike nights, fashion shows, first communions, baptisms, yardsales, lemonade stands, you get the picture. Well, Darris is calling in these favors to get support for a very special person and a special ride. Bikers For Bones will take place June 14. For now just save the date, please. Thank you!
