Remember When September 11 Meant Something?

In today’s YouTube, text-messaging, celebrity rehab info.-crazed society, far too many people seem to have forgotten the sting, the burn, the pain that we all felt that fateful day just six years ago. Of course, many of you reading this know what this day represents. It means something to our military personnel serving in Iraq, too. Unfortunately for them, it also is yet another day of being away from home, missing family and many of life's comforts.

We aren't interested in a political debate about the merits of what is happening over there, but we do want to do something nice for some of the men and women who are doing their jobs and serving their country, OUR country.

Next Tuesday, September 11, please drop off any of the items on the link below at either A.D. Farrow Co. dealership and we will make sure they get to military personnel in Iraq. Specifically, they will go to the “Drop Zone Café” set up by Daniel Harden (dan.hardin@us.army.mil), a Chaplain in the U.S. Army who has roots in Columbus. Here is a message from him to hopefully help sway your decision (although you probably don’t need any more convincing): “God bless bikers - next to the Soldier, no one is more patriotic, loyal, and American than the biker.” Click here for a list of suggested/ accepted donations.
