Fall Fest 2007 – TOMORROW, Centennial Park H-D!
Centennial Park Harley-Davidson in Pataskala is celebrating the start of fall with a party tomorrow, September 29, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The celebration will include a market area featuring local farmers, growers and organizations offering food, plus live music and free giveaways! Come enjoy harvest time, Harley style! Come Learn About the World of Motorcycling!
On October 23, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., join us for “Road Warriors” at the Upper Arlington Municipal Services Center, Council Chambers, 3600 Tremont Road. This course, offered by the Lifelong Learning program of the city of Upper Arlington and A.D. Farrow Co., will give you a “ride” through the history of motorcycles, showcase their cultural significance, explore their place in movies, music and more! You’ll even get a photograph of yourself on the very cool “Heisman Harley/Buckeye Bike”! This class is open to everyone; registration is limited to 100! Go Bucks … Go Bikes! OSU Alums Who Ride – We’ve Got A Group For You!
A group of OSU students have created the Buckeye Motorcycle Club at The Ohio State University, and even got the school to direct some student activities funding their way! The group is only a couple of months old, but already has held some get-togethers and planned some rides. But they want to do more, including getting OSU alumni who ride involved! Interested? Reminder: Bike Nights Still Going Strong!
On Wednesdays the party takes place at Quaker Steak & Lube. TONIGHT, the weekly biker party is at GasWerks, 487 N. Park St., in the Arena District – “park it on the patio” from 4 to 8 p.m. And on Monday night stop by Bill’s Other Place, 733 Harrisburg Pike. Visit these fine establishments on your bike now – it may be too cold in February!

Volunteers Needed By The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum!
Can you help? Volunteers are needed to work at the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Weekend, Friday Oct, 5th, and Saturday, Oct. 6th.
People are needed for the following shifts:

  • Noon to 5 p.m., and 5 to 10 p.m. Friday
  • 7 a.m. to Noon, Noon to 5 p.m., and 5 to 10 p.m., Saturday. The last shift Saturday is at the Hilton Columbus.

It’s A Great Time Of Year To Ride – So Ride!

9/29- Marysville Longriders Lost Brother Run – Saturday, September 29. Registration starts at 9 a.m., Little Tony’s Pizza, 900 Columbus Ave., Marysville. First bike out, 11 a.m., last bike out, 1 p.m., last bike in, 5 p.m. $15 for single rider, $20 with passenger. All proceeds to pay funeral expenses for Chad “Kong” Rowe. We urge you to support this ride if you can.

9/29- Ridin’ For Riley Poker Run – Saturday, September 29. Event kicks off with breakfast at 8 a.m. at Stinkin’ Dad’s Saloon, 1267 Columbus St., Lancaster. First bike out 11 a.m., Last bike in, 4 p.m. Ends with a party - live music, auction, good times! You will be riding for Riley Mitchell, nephew of Easy and Micki Rector, a child who as a skin abnormality and already has endured many surgeries in his young life! Please support this ride!

9/29- Galloway Baseball Club Poker Run – Saturday, September 29. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at Moose Lodge 11, 1500 Demorest Rd., Columbus. Cost is $15 for single rider, $25 with passenger. Call 614-207-6518 for more information.

10/6- Quaker Steak & Lube Fundraising Ride For Ohio Law Enforcement Officers – Saturday, October 6. Cost per bike is $20. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at The ‘Lube (breakfast buffet, 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., only $5 per person!) First bike out,10 a.m., last bike out at Noon, last bike back at The ‘Lube at 3 p.m. for the start of the auction! Bottom line: Major Lisa Taylor and Lt. Mary Pfeifer of the Ohio State Highway Patrol were recently injured when their motorcycle was hit by an “impaired” driver. This fundraiser is to help them with incidental expenses during recovery. 10/20- H.O.G. Chapter Cemetery Ride – Saturday, October 20. Meet at 8, leave at 8:30 p.m. (THIS IS A NEW TIME, PLEASE NOTE!!!), Downtown Columbus Dealership (rain date 10-27). 11/18- Endurance Ride – Sunday, November 18. This is the oldest continuous ride in the country, if not the world. Day long event, 250 to 300 miles, dinner at the end, good times throughout! More details soon, but pencil it in!
