The Winfield Family Needs OUR Help…
You might recognize this family name: Brandy Winfield is the Marion County Sheriff’s Department deputy who was killed in the line of duty in 2004 and who is honored by a motorcycle charity ride each year (www.brandywinfieldrun.org). This past Sunday, Brandy’s brother Cory, a police officer in Marion, was in a motorcycle accident. After completing his patrol shift at 1 a.m., Cory was riding his Harley-Davidson home when a drunk driver made a left turn in front of him. Cory was taken by helicopter to a trauma center in Columbus with serious injuries. At this time, Cory is in a medically-induced coma with head injuries, a severely fractured pelvis and leg injuries. A fund has been created at Chase Bank for Cory and his wife Lindsey. Donations can be made at any Chase Bank branch. Just let the teller know you would like to make a donation to the Cory Winfield Benefit Fund. Thank you.
